In addition to performing, Robert is also an active educator in the Miami area. When teaching in DFW, his private lesson students consistently placed in the UIL All-Region bands, and received high ratings at the Texas State Solo and Ensemble Contest.  In 2014, one of Robert's students won first place in the high school division of the PASIC Marching Festival Keyboard Competition, and in 2015 won the Best Front Ensemble award at the Lonestar Classic Drumline Contest with his students at Lake Dallas High School.  He also had two private lesson students place in the 2018 TMEA All-State Bands, one in 5A and one in 6A.
